Anele Zondo & L-Tido Recreate Kanye West & Kim Kardashian’s Memorable ‘Bound 2’ Scene
Television host and artist Anele Zondo pairs up with L-Tido for a hilarious, stylish visual homage to one of rap's most iconic music video moments.
Pop culture satire is an art form, and Anele Zondo and L-Tido just executed one of the sharpest local tributes of the year. The duo took social media by storm with their frame-by-frame recreation of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's iconic 2013 'Bound 2' motorcycle video.
Featuring a wind-machine-swept green screen, green motorcycle props, and tongue-in-cheek dramatic stares, the comedic clip showcased Zondo's playful media savvy and L-Tido's willing comedic chops. The video quickly amassed over half a million views across TikTok and Instagram within hours of dropping.
Industry peers and fans alike lauded the clip for its production detail and sense of humor. Celebrities including Cassper Nyovest, Boity, and Focalistic weighed in with approving comments, turning the viral stunt into a trending cultural moment.
Beyond the humor, the stunt highlights how South African media personalities are using short-form comedic video to build massive organic engagement ahead of their formal music and television releases.
