Kane Keid slows it down on “Take Time” with Sino Msolo and Ficz
The rapper follows the single with a moody video, and a hint of what’s next.

Kane Keid has never been shy about mixing grit with melody, and “Take Time” leans all the way into the softer side. The single came out on 9 October, and a week later he followed it with a music video on 15 October.
The collaboration
The pairing is what makes it work. Sino Msolo, whose voice has carried some of the biggest amapiano and soul records of the past few years, brings warmth to the hook, while Ficz rounds out the trio. Keid’s verses sit in the pocket rather than over it, more conversation than performance.
The visual
The video is directed by Aimée Lokota, with cinematography by Siyabonga Mgodlola. It favours mood over spectacle, leaving room for the song to breathe. That restraint is unusual in a scene where many videos still go for maximum flex.
It’s the kind of record that plays as well on a Sunday drive as it does on a late-night playlist.
What’s next
Keid isn’t standing still. A new link-up with Xowié surfaced at the start of November, another sign that SA rappers are reaching across genres for their next moves. With hip hop’s share of the mainstream under pressure from the dance genres, collaborations like these are how rap keeps its place on the radio.
