While Johannesburg's southern and eastern townships are celebrated as the historic cradle of house music, the northern suburbs are undergoing their own quiet electronic revolution. Fourways producer and DJ Sups has emerged as a key architect of this new movement with his latest collaborative Afro House release.

Featuring lush atmospheric pads, organic African shakers, and hypnotic vocal harmonies, the new release showcases Sups' meticulous sound design. Rather than relying on generic commercial house templates, he crafts deep, late-night grooves engineered for intimate club floors and outdoor terrace sessions.

"Afro House is spiritual music," Sups explained in a recent profile. "Every kick drum, every percussive roll has to mean something. We are carrying forward a tradition that legends like Black Coffee and Culoe De Song took to the world, but we're telling our own contemporary story."

The project has earned support from leading electronic selectors across Gauteng and Cape Town, signaling bright international prospects for the Fourways producer as European festival bookers look south for fresh talent.
