Up The Creek, the legendary outdoor festival where audiences float on lilos in the Breede River while watching bands perform, has unveiled its second phase artist announcement for its 2027 edition.

Building on an already strong foundation of indie rock and acoustic acts, the second wave introduces a bold selection of electronic live performers, soul vocalists, and regional dance selectors. The festival's organizers have made a conscious effort to diversify the musical programming while preserving the intimate, community-first ethos that has defined the event for over three decades.

"Up The Creek is about stepping outside the corporate festival bubble," festival director Caitlin Waters shared. "You're on the river with your friends, listening to the most honest music South Africa has to offer. That spirit will never change."

With riverside camping spots nearly sold out, the four-day gathering near Swellendam is shaping up to be one of the premier live music highlights of the upcoming festival calendar.
